Please note: This advice was updated in November 2020 (ICES, 2020a) ICES advises that when the EU multiannual plan (MAP) for Western Waters and adjacent waters is applied, catches in 2021 that correspond to the F ranges in the plan are between 2491 tonnes and 4092 tonnes. According to the MAP, catches higher than those corresponding to FMSY (3371 tonnes) can only be taken under conditions specified in the MAP, while the entire range is considered precautionary when applying the ICES advice rule. Note: This advice sheet is abbreviated due to the COVID-19 disruption. The previous advice issued for 2020 is attached as Annex 1.
