ICES advises that when the EU multiannual plan (MAP) for the Baltic Sea is applied, the catches in 2025 that correspond to the F ranges in the plan are between 30 394 tonnes and 45 235 tonnes. According to the MAP, catches higher than those corresponding to FMSY (39 233 tonnes) can be taken only under conditions specified in the plan, whilst the entire range is considered precautionary when applying ICES advice rule. This advice applies to all catches from the stock in subdivisions 28.1 and 28.2.

The probability of SSB being below Blim in 2026. This probability relates to the short-term probability of SSB < Blim and is not comparable to the long-term probability of SSB < Blim tested in simulations when estimating fishing mortality reference points.
