ICES advises that when the maximum sustainable yield (MSY) approach is applied, landings in 2025 and 2026 should be no more than 1 406 and 1 415 tonnes, respectively. ICES cannot quantify the corresponding catches. Management of the catches of skates and rays under a combined TAC prevents effective control of single-stock exploitation rates and could lead to overexploitation of some species.
