ICES advises that when the EU multiannual plan (MAP) for Western Waters and adjacent waters is applied, and assuming zero discards, catches in 2026 that correspond to the F ranges in the MAP are between 1 750 and 2 169 tonnes. The entire range is considered precautionary when applying the ICES advice rule. To ensure that the stock in Functional Unit (FU) 16 is exploited sustainably, management should be continued at the FU level.
