Advice Sentence
*
ICES advises that when the maximum sustainable yield (MSY) approach is applied, catches in 2027 and 2028 should be no more than 282 tonnes and 285 tonnes respectively. All catches are assumed to be landed. Management of the catches of skates and rays under a combined total allowable catch (TAC) prevents effective control of single-stock exploitation rates and could lead to overexploitation of some species.
