Advice Sentence
*
ICES advises that when the precautionary approach is applied, catches in each of the years 2027, 2028, and 2029 should be no more than 177 tonnes. The use of a combined species total allowable catch (TAC) for sole species (Solea solea, Solea senegalensis, and Pegusa lascaris) prevents effective control of the single-species exploitation rates and could lead to the overexploitation of individual species.
