Advice Sentence

ICES advises that when the maximum sustainable yield (MSY) approach is applied, landings in 2027 and 2028 should be no more than 444 and 430 tonnes, respectively. Management of the catches of skates and rays under a combined total allowable catch (TAC) prevents effective control of single-stock exploitation rates and could lead to overexploitation of some species.
